Mumbai, Feb 20: Mayuravarma Samskritika Prathistana held its annual conference, Chakradhari awards and Krishibandhu awards programme on February 19 at Mysuru Association mini auditorium, Matunga east. Prathistana president, Kadandale Suresh Bhandary who presided over the programme lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme.

VHP Thane former president, Umesh Shetty Pollya, KharGhar Karnataka Sangha president, S Nalina Prasad and Kannada Sangha Mumbai secretary Somanath S Karkera were the guests of honour.

Kannada Sangha Mumbai vice-president, Dr S K Bhavani was presented the Chakradhari award 2021 and a retired bank employee, farmer Kolchappe Govinda Bhat was presented Krishibandhu 2021 award and honoured. Dr S K Bhavani released a collection of articles about Sahitya Balaga Mumbai founder president H B L Rao written by HBLR fans.

Anagha Dodmane, Vijaya G Bhat and Malati Bhat sang a prayer song. Prathistana honorary chief secretary Vishwanath Dodmane welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory address. Teacher Amritha Shetty introduced the guests, compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
