RAK court sentences life time to two for raping youth in revenge

Dubai, Feb 9: Two gulf nationals were given a life sentence by the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court of Appeal. The duo were convicted of kidnapping and raping a youth. While a third accused was ordered to serve five years in prison. The accused were also found guilty of recording the crime act and threatening to share the recordings on social media. The court further asked them to move out at least 5 km off the house of the victim.

Reportedly, the first and second accused had decided to take revenge on the victim who allegedly spread some shameful stories about them. One of the accused, in the pretext of having a chat invited the victim and drove him to a remote desert area and pushed him out of the car. He was then shot in his right hand and left shoulder with stun guns, stabbed in his right hand and the trio beat him up severely.

Then the first and second accused also took turns to rape the victim. They then took him to a farm owned by the first accused and then raped him again. The incident was recorded by one of the accused who later threatened to share the video on social media if he told anyone about the crime.
