Mumbai, Jan 29: A seven-year-old boy was rescued by the Thane crime branch after he was kidnapped by his mother's live-in partner. Rinku Saroj (35), the accused hails from Uttar Pradesh.
It is said that the boy's mother was in a live-in relationship with the accused. "He wanted her to come to UP with him, but she refused. In a fit of rage, he kidnapped her son on January 24, and planned to take him to UP on a train," inspector Praful Jadav said.

Sub-inspector Ashok Mane got in touch with the railway police who spotted Saroj with the boy heading to UP. The police nabbed Saroj and brought the boy to Thane on Tuesday, January 26.
