Beltangady, Jan 18: A SDPI leader has thrown a challenge to BJP with regards to the alleged pro-Pak slogan during the counting of votes of gram panchayat elections at Ujire in the taluk.

The SDPI leader said, "Will you come to Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swami temple and vow that you have not said ‘Pakistan Jai’. We are ready."

Speaking in a programme, the leader said, "If by saying ‘Pakistan Jai’ if we get any advantage, we would have definitely said that same. But we do not gain anything from such sloganeering. On the contrary it will be a disgrace for us.

“Social Democratic Party of India fights for this land and the people of this country,” he said.

    Please don’t challenge BJP with taking vow at Dharmasthala and discredit this great religion. Its going to be a unexpected golden opportunity for this aethist political party to justify its claim. You should know they have least of the least regard for religion and taking vow here is a piece of cake for them. They are breakers of holy places not makers.

    The irony is that Congress, JDS and SDPI, had a mutual understanding, their eternal foe was the BJP. The looser in this triangular contest is the INC, their entire minority vote bank has been hijacked by SDPI, leaving the grand old party, in an ICU, grasping for its last breath !! The ultimate winner is the BJP as they have the confidence of the majority and other minority communities !!!!!

    Don’t assume and be comfortable with the fact majority and some minority are with BJP. As per your blind logic then BJP should give up EVMs and live up to the challenge and prove opposition is wrong but you don’t dare. Its faulty EVMs without 100% VVPAT and non perishable print inks winning BJP. No majority and minority mandate with BJP. Ballot papers will prove this fact fair and square but you acting minority will chicken out.

    Why these political elements are dragging religious places for their personal gain? This is a political incident and politicians always make fool out of common people. Politicians doesn't have any respect for people's sentiment and money is above all for them. Even they're ready to go low as possible even after vowing to the God. Have some respect and for your cheap political gians don't insult the gods and holy places.

    Cannot agree more. The old opposition party would have never challenged BJP in this manner. A change was the need of the hour, rather than old and rejected individuals without any agenda, expect 'bashing' . The suspense factor will really work. Lets hope for the best.

    You will find bjp hand in 99 percent issues of communal voilence, hate speech, anti national slogans etc etc. Andhra DGP is 100 percent correct that BJP is involved in many cases where hindu temples are ransacked and defamed, BJP and sangh parivar will go to any low level for their political benefit. However, this is not going to last and public will kick them out soon.
