Bahrain: Induction Ceremony of Konkani Singers’ Club Held

Bahrain, Jun 14: The Induction Ceremony of the new executive committee of Konkans Singers Club was held at the Papillon First class Restaurant Hall, Manama here recently.

The newly appointed executive committee of Konkan Singers Club includes Walter Noronha as vice president, Clement Lobo as general secretary, Anil D'Souza as assistant general secretary, Lawrence Charles D'Mello as treasurer, Moses Cutinho as assistant treasurer, Steven D'Souza as entertainment secretary, Leo Fernandes as assistant entertainment secretary, Vincent Durado as sports secretary, Peter D'Costa as assistant sports secretary and Ronald Fernandes as internal auditor.

The entertainment secretary Steven D’Souza welcomed the gathering. The members along with their families participated in dances and various fun-filled games. Children too had a special session. 


















































The president Henry D’Almeida appealed to the members to support the club with active participation in its activities. He introduced the executive committee members for the year 2010.

Price and Princess Contest  

The ‘Konkan Prince and Princess 2010 Contest’ was also held on the same day.

Best costume: Soloman Veigas
Best smile: Santrapthi Rao
Best Walk: Rowen Fernandes 

All participants received consolation prizes. As many as 200 people attended the programme. Steven D’Souza compered the event while DJ Val entertained the gathering with his music.
