Udupli, Jan 12: "There is no opposition party in Karnataka. People sit inside their air-conditioned rooms and keep tweeting. This has become a habit for many," criticized rural development and panchayat raj minister K S Eshwarappa.

The minister pledged to teach a fitting lesson to those who raise pro-Pakistan slogans. He hastened to add that many among the Muslims are patriots and all are not traitors. "We have never said that we do not need Muslim votes. Everyone who is a patriot is a BJP man. The Congress leaders try to appease Muslim community and is under the illusion that all of them vote for their party, he commented. He advised the Congress to change its mindset.
About the issue of politicising vaccination, Eshwarappa said that the opposition in the state lacks political awareness and it does not know where one should play politics. He said nothing can be done about such things.
