Bengaluru, Jan 12: Leader of the opposition, Siddaramaiah, repeated his earlier statement that B S Yediyurappa will not continue as the chief minister of Karnataka. "All preparations have been made to topple him. I am confidently saying this based on information provided by my friends in the BJP and the RSS," he stated.
Siddaramaiah claimed that the state BJP government is a 30 percent commission government. "No one has any doubt about this fact. When I was the chief minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had visited the city. He had said then that mine was a ten percent commission government. But my government was not involved with any scam. Under the current government, nothing including officers transfers, LOC release etc happen without paying money. Is the Prime Minister unable to see these things?" he wanted to know.
Reacting to these utterances, state minister for medium and large scale industries, Jagadish Shettar, said that Siddaramaiah is neither a spokesperson nor a leader of the BJP. He said that the Congress leaders have become listless after facing successive defeats in elections. He advised Siddaramaiah to set right his relationship with Shivakumar before poking nose into the affairs of others. He advised Siddaramaiah to provide constructive suggestions instead of talking nonsense. He asserted that Yediyurappa will continue to be the chief minister for the balance 30 months term.
