Byndoor: One dead, another injured in accident near Ottinene

Byndoor, Jan 11: After a lorry went out of its control of its driver and fell by its side after crossing over to the opposite side of the road, it hit a Maruti Eeco vehicle that was moving on that side of the road. The accident took place near Ottinene on Sunday January 10.

As the lorry hurtled down the road located at a lower gradient, its driver suffered critical injuries and breathed his last on the spot. The lorry cleaner suffered grave injuries. He has been admitted into a hospital at Udupi.

The Eeco vehicle involved with the accident suffered extensive damage. However, those traveling by the vehicle had a providential escape from danger.

Byndoor police have registered a case relating to this accident.

    the curve at ottinene both way up and down it was a dangerous drive before but after it was made two sided there was a little relief but for heavy trucks it is still a problem

    We should have good driving schools and defensive driving classes to be made mandatory so that maximum mischiefs can b avoided like advanced countries doing.
    not to give licenses those who know take vehicle front and reverse back that's it!
