Vijaykumar Kodialbail, 24 others conferred with Karnataka Nataka Academy Award

Mangaluru, Jan 9: The prestigious annual Karnataka Nataka Academy Award for the year 2019-20 was conferred on well-known Tulu theatre artiste, movie director and writer Vijayakumar Kodialbail along with 24 others.

The 24 others who were presented the awards include Nagendra Sha, KP Prakash, Dr M Byregowda, Manjula Manjunath, Maluru Siddappa, K Jambujunath, Siddalingappa Tumakuru, Bhaskar Manipala, M S Venugopal, B Nagarajgauda, P Shadrak, Parameshwar Lende, Gurunathappa Ungurashetty Kote, Basavaraju Hesaruru, Madhukumara U Harijana, B N Shashikala, B L Ravikumar, C S Patil Kulkarni, Zakir Nadaf, Shanthamma B Mallakalla, Sanagamesh Devendra Badami, Shashiprabha Aradhiya and Ganapathi B Hegde.

The award consists of Rs 25,000 cash, citation and statue of Nataraj.

The award was presented in the honourary presence of Siddalinga Mahaswamy of Siddaganga Math in Gubbiveeranna Kalakshetra Tumakuru.

The honorary award of Karnataka Nataka Academy 2019-20 was conferred on G V Sharadha.

Book award for the year 2018 was conferred on late Gavish Veerabadraiah Hiremath. Endowment Awards were conferred on B Mallikarjuna, Kollamma Kottur, Namadeva Nooli and Aravinda Kulkarni.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail said, "This is the result of the efforts of my team members who are with me now and who worked with me in the past 30 years. Hence, as their representative I have received this award."
