Very good initiative sir.Post covid opening up crimes have increased alarmingly.one of thr common sight observed by morning walkers is the beer bottles stewn around everywhere. These nocturnal drinkers do not spare the residential areas also.We hope you will increase night vigil and put an end to such nefarious activities.I also request to deal firmly with the city busses both staff as well as the owners.Every single rule of the road is flouted by them so much so that senior citizens are at great risk.Further the use of old blaring horns continues unabated though as per reports by now 100s of busses have been impounded for this offense. One can not but suspect that there is a lobby betwren the bus mafia and powers that be.Hope you wilk continue the good work and make Mangalore a peaceful livable city specialky for senior citizens.

Tourist, people without any nuisance shouldn't be punished or disturbed. Take example of Goa, Goa is flourishing....

Can we be explained what is "creating nuisance"?

Is this a bigger crime than being an anti national or a terrorist?

Well I definitely support what the commissioner is doing. But the million dollar question is whether he will be able to stop the wine shops near KSRTC opening at 6am?

Also there are many pubs and bars which open beyond the stipulated hours. Most of their customers are posh people who drive after drinking at night. Does this commissioner has the guts to stop it?

This country is just democrazy. If the commissioner gets into the business of bar and restaurants, he will be transferred within a week.

I bet all the lower rung cadre of constables and head constables and SIs must be cursing this guy as they get fat hafta from the bars and restaurants

Biggest demo crazy country in the world

I agree with you. Surprisingly only higher officials are transferred, it is the lower rung that has to be transferred every 6 months, to stop corruption and leakage of information.

There is a method in this madness. That is alcohol whose TDS (300~400% of production cost) is collected by excise department even before it is distributed to the retailers.

Now consider this. TDS for excise department, revenue for home by collection of fine and alcohol producers get their cut also. Everybody wins and there is only one loser viz., the consumer.

A good administration is the one that thinks end to end. From production till consumption. Here is the good example of a fine administration at the expense of common man.

Regulated open air restaurants should be encouraged until the pandemic is over.

    Hello Mangalore commissioner,
You arrested those poor workers who had a couple of drinks after working whole day. They could not afford to go to a bar or club so they got their drink and had in an a open place. They did not create any problem to anyone . You arrested them ,humiliated and slap charges and got huge publicity ..good job !!
Would you show the same courage to go to the parking lot outside Lions club in mallikatta or Edens club in Nathoor where those rich guys drink and sing and dance and drive .....Do that first you will be transferred. immediately...!!!

I don't know why does your comments have so many dislikes but this is the honest truth, they only mess with poor people, from towing vehicles to civil police stopping vehicles and giving outdated challan slip, Seems like the atrocities being committed against the weak and poor is growing day by day
