Bhopal, Jan 6: In a strange case, a wife agreed to let her husband marry his lover in exchange for Rs 1.5 crore. The incident is reported from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The matter first came to the attention of a family court in Bhopal when a minor claimed that her father was having an affair with a colleague. This led to heated arguments at home which were disturbing her studies and that of her sister.
Based on the minor's complaint, the couple was summoned for counselling. On further probe, it was found that the husband was having an affair with a woman in his office who was older than him. The husband wanted to get a divorce from his wife and live with his lover. However, the wife refused to grant him a divorce. It was only after multiple counselling sessions that the couple reached an agreement.
The wife agreed to leave the husband on the sole condition that the woman he was having an affair with agrees to hand over her apartment and Rs 27 lac in cash to her. In her statement to the counsellor, the wife told that she did not want to stay with someone she did not share a good relationship with. Instead, she chose to leave her husband while ensuring she could take care of her daughters.
A similar case was reported in Mexico a few days ago, where a man, cheating on his wife, had built a tunnel connecting his home to his lover's who was also cheating on her spouse. All was going well for the couple who were neighbours living in Mexico’s Villa del Prado neighbourhood. However, the secret love affair ended when the husband of the man’s lover discovered the tunnel that was right beneath the couch at his home.
