Bengaluru: Honey-trap - Fraudster woman commits blunder, gets arrested

Bengaluru, Jan 4: Modern age teacher, who used to take unmarried and divorced men for a ride on a matrimonial site, was caught by the police due to her foolishness.

The woman, a teacher by profession, cheated many men of lacs of rupees through this honey trap business. She used to make videos of intimate moments with men and demand money. If men refused to budge, she used to threaten them with the accusation of raping her.

Now the former teacher has been arrested by Indiranagar police due to the complaint she filed with the police. Kavita, the fraudster, had lost her teaching job due to certain reasons. Later she got into the lucrative business of cheating men by honey-trapping them.

Kavitha had filed a complaint against youth on December 22 of raping her. She had complained to the police that the accused youth has videotaped the act of rape. In addition, she had called the police and got the respective video deleted in their presence. On December 31, Kavitha filed a complaint on the same youth for the second time. The police who got suspicious interrogated her intensely and the honey-trap case came to light.

Kavitha had demanded Rs 2 lac from the youth for her to keep quiet and not file a complaint with the police.
