Union minister Sadananda Gowda collapses due to low BP, sugar level; hospitalised

Chitradurga, Jan 3: Union minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers D V Sadananda Gowda was admitted to a hospital near Chitradurga after he collapsed in his car on Sunday January 3 due to low BP and sugar levels.

It is said that Gowda was returning to Bengaluru after taking part in BJP's core committee meeting held in Shivamogga on January 2 night.

The incident was reported at Hotel Naveen Regency while getting down from the car to have lunch.

Immediately, he was rushed to Basaveshwara Hospital in the city. After primary treatment in Basaveshwara hospital, he will be rushed to hospital in Hebbal, Bengaluru.

    Dear All,

    Please don't think Diabetes / BP is a life long decease, which can not the reversed. That's 200% wrong.

    It is called "hypoglycaemia", drop in sugar level in diabetics patients. When timely meals are not taken. Everyone got tensions work pressure, and they dont collapse like this case!

    Edward, Mumbai, I fully agree with your comments and there is no doubt about it. I know the complications with low BP, sugar level and above all due lack of rest at this age. I wish him a speedy recovery as I and my wife worked in different hospitals in New York for 30 years + and happily retired.
