Bengaluru, Jan 1: A dry run of coronavirus vaccine will be held in all states on Saturday and three Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the city have been selected for the exercise.
The dry run is a mock exercise of immunisation programme for the coronavirus vaccine.
BBMP administrator Gaurav Gupta said all arrangements have been made to conduct the dry run under BBMP limits and the concerned officer/staff will undergo training today regarding the work.
The dry run will be conducted at Kamakshipalya urban PHC (west zone), Vidyapeetha urban PHC (south zone) and Hargade PHC in Anekal that comes under the Bangalore Urban district.
As many as 25 health workers in every PHC, a total of 75 in 3 centres, have been selected for the dry run which will commence for 2 hours.
A report will be submitted to the stage and central governments on the dry run.
A total of 1,517 health centres have been identified in the city for the vaccination programme which is set to commence at the end of January and the beginning of February.
