Mangaluru, Dec 28: "Without any fear of losing hope youth should go ahead with their work, the opportunity will surely come to everyone," said the founder of MRG Group, K Prakash Shetty.
He was speaking after distributing financial assistance of over Rs 1 crore, along with other dignitaries, to the underprivileged suffering from various illnesses in an event held at the Goldfinch City Ground in Bangra Kulur here.
Prakash Shetty in his speech also spoke about the time when he went to Bengaluru in 1983 and how his hard work of 10 years, brought him success in life.
He also said students should keep going ahead in life and achieve success and always remember to give back to society.
"Today, I stand as a successful entrepreneur in front of you, because of the hard work my employees have put in," Prakash said. He also informed that more than 3,000 workers are working for MRG group including employees from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.
Assuring that he will help those in need every year, Prakash Shetty said, "This is not a programme organised for the sake of publicity, but so that I can extend a helping hand to those in need."
Prakash Shetty distributed financial assistance of Rs 1,25,75,000 to 545 underprivileged people and those suffering from health issues in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts.
He also distributed Rs 2.5 lac to 10 students belonging economically weaker sections of society.
MLA Y Bharath Shetty, Dr M Mohan Alva, A Sadhananda Shetty, AJ Shetty, Maladi Ajith Kumar Rai, Jayaram Hegde, Purushotham Shetty, Indrali Jayakar Shetty, Santhosh Shetty Pune, Ratnakar Shetty, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde and others were present.
Gurme Suresh Shetty welcomed the gathering and Nithesh Shetty Yekkar compared the event.
