Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 28: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported eight fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 32,783. Out of these, 372 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,52,865 samples have been tested. Out of which, 4,20,082 are negative.

As many as 37 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,679.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 18,656 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 19,86,628 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,021, including 15 fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 66 cases are currently active.

Over 2,81,639 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,58,618 have turned out negative.

As many as eight patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,767.

A total of 188 deaths have occurred so far.
