Bagalkot, Dec 28: "Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi might have grown hair and beard for the sake of Ram Mandir," opined member of Sri Rama Mandir Trust of Ayodhya and seer of Pejawar Math of Udupi, Shree Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji.
Speaking to reporters in the city on Sunday, December 27, Swamiji said, "PM Modi is more inclined towards spirituality. There is something called 'Deeksha Buddha' in Hinduism. I feel that as Modi has done the foundation stone laying of Ram Mandir, he is morally responsible for its construction.

"It is estimated that Ram Mandir will be constructed in three and a half years’ time at an estimated cost of Rs 1,500 crore. Rs 500 crore is spent on the actual construction of the Mandir, while Rs 1,000 will be spent on development of the environment, accommodation for pilgrims and construction of roads."
Reacting to the farmers' agitation that is taking place in Delhi, Swamiji said, "The one that is going on in Delhi right now is not movement by farmers but something else wearing the face of farmers. PM Modi is calling the protesters for talks every day. He is asking the protesters to discuss the points which they are objecting so that the same can be resolved. But farmers' protest is going off track. So I do not completely support this protest."
