Mangaluru, Dec 28: In a press release, the district Health and Family Welfare officer of Dakshina Kannada district said that it is made mandatory for all international passengers arriving into the city from international airport as well as New Mangalore Port to get themselves tested for Covid-19 test within 72 hours prior to their boarding and hold negative report of the same.
This is done as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of second wave of new variant of coronavirus.

If the passengers arriving have not done their Covid test, then RT-PCR test will be done. Passengers arriving at Mangaluru International Airport have been undergoing tests from December 26. Passengers have to undergo the Covid test without fail at the airport and should be in home quarantine till their test results arrive.
All are requested to cooperate with the health department to prevent the spread of second wave of coronavirus, stated the press release.
