CM: Strict monitoring of passengers from UK being done

Panjim, Dec 25: CM Pramod Sawant has assured that all arrivals from the United Kingdom in the last one week are being strictly monitored by the Health Department.

CM Said “We have asked whoever has arrived in the last eight days to undergo compulsory home isolation and all will be tested again by RTPCR,” he also added that those who were detected positive their samples have to be sent separately to NIV Pune.

The Health Department team is monitoring all those who arrived since December 9 in the state.

CM said “No plans of night curfew as done by neighbours Maharashtra and Karnataka.”

Samples of 10 people have been sent to NIV Pune who arrived on Wednesday. Fights to and from UK up to December 31 in the wake a second wave of COVID-19 and the detection of a new strain of the virus.
