Margao, June 2: Chief Minister Digambar Kamat inaugurated the seventh branch of Candolim Urban Cooperative Credit Society Ltd at Osia Complex here on Tuesday, June 1.
 
Speaking on the occasion Kamat lauded the chairman, board of directors and staff of the Credit Society for their devotion in credit cooperative sector. He said that his Government has always extended support to cooperative sector.

He further said that he had close association with the cooperative sector and had started acceptance of power bills through credit cooperatives when he was power minister. There are many dedicated workers in cooperative sector and   staff of Society should cultivate a feeling of belonging for the growth of their institution, he added.

Guest of honour Krishni Walke, entrepreneur and social worker, P M Naik, deputy registrar of cooperatives also spoke on the occasion. Dr Shivanand Verlekar, chairman, Candolim Urban Cooperative Credit Society Ltd welcomed the gathering. Sneha Raikar compered while Anand Bandodkar, director proposed the vote of thanks.
