Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 19 (IANS): Rajmohan Pillai, brother of late 'Biscuit King' Rajan Pillai, on Saturday announced that his business group will support 25 new start-up companies in the country.

The support ranges right from validating one's ideas to help create an incubator route that could finally culminate in attracting investment and success.

The Beta Group said it will support and sustain 25 new start-up/entrepreneur companies and help them reach their potential in association with Beta Group in the next 25 years.

Rajan Pillai was a pioneering entrepreneur from a small village in Kollam in Kerala who rose to become the chairman of the largest food company in southeast Asia with the vision of making Britannia one of the largest food companies in the world, before his life was cut short at the young age of 48 at the peak of his career.

Beta Group has promoted more than 60 start-ups over the years including in the co-working space, IT and sports.

"We are doing this to mark the birthday of our visionary leader Rajan Pillai. We are indebted to take his vision forward and that is why we want to make 25 global brands to celebrate his life," said Mahesh Nair, entrusted with the job of making this new programme a success.

The company has called upon potential entrepreneurs and start-ups to register on their website.
