Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 16: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 23 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 32,444. Out of these, 408 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,19,707 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,87,263 are negative.

As many as 20 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,305.

A total of 731 deaths have occured so far.

Over 17,230 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 18,24,397 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,929, including 15 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 125 cases are currently active.

Over 2,67,996 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,45,067 have turned out negative.

As many as 15 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,617.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
