Mangaluru, Dec 16: Sadat, the third accused in the case of anti-national slogans which appeared on walls at two places in the city, was remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday December 15. The investigation so far has found that the mindset of religious bigotry inspired them to indulge in this act.
Main accused in the case, Mohammed Shaarik and Maz Munir had links with a number of organizations fanning religious fanaticism through the social media. They also used to put together information from there. They also had cultivated the habit of reading the literature connected with this activity. Many books which support this mentality were found at their home. It is said that the sleeper cell of an organization had hand in creating the graffiti.
Police sources said that both Mohammed Sharik and Maz Munir Ahmed will be produced in the court on December18 as their police custody period ends on December 18.
