Mangaluru: Towing vehicle violates rules, imposes fine on others

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 15: It is gathered that the towing vehicle which carried the vehicles found violating traffic rules or parked in ‘No Parking’ zones away, itself did not have insurance and fitness certificates.
.
This vehicle has been moving around the city since the last several months. Officials who used to get seated in this vehicle and imposed fines apparently never checked the vehicle's documents. Now the violations by the vehicle used to discipline the violators has embarrassed the police officials.

A person, who was frustrated by the vehicle, checked the documents of the vehicle in the transport office and found that the vehicle was not following rules. It was not insured and did not have fitness certificate. The people now want the police officials to levy a penalty on the vehicle for moving around in violation of rules since about a year and prove that for them, everyone is equal.

After the defect in the vehicle's documents was revealed, the police have not used the vehicle since the last two days. In the meanwhile, the vehicle owner, it is learnt, renewed its insurance in a hurry.

There are no proper parking places. Traffic police in mangalore are just interested in making money by collecting fines from 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers.

When the private buses move in the city with reckless driving the traffic department just closes their eyes. They become blind at that point even if it is happening in their presence.

We get to hear that they installed CCTV every where, Do their cameras stop working at that time...??

And now you see about towing vehicle violating rules....

Most of the vehicles towed were parked in roads that dint have a NO PARKING sign. so its illegal to trap the hapless vehicle. Many a time they have come without making a sound and towed away the vehicle

Punish them like nobody should do this type of mistake by harassing citizens. Those who benefited from this , they should return the amount back or face the punishment.

so that means in a simple word , all the vehicles it towed is illegally and the fine for 2 wheeler they imposed is ₹1650 which is devided as
1000- towing fee , 325- private charges , 325 govt charges as in challan. so out this 1000+325 has to be returned to all the people to whom its charged. will it happen or will pvt contract towing co bribe the officials & settle it.. our sleeping MP & MLA's are answerable. #towscammangalore

Govt is really helpless to create a proper parking zone. UAE is such a small country yet how systematic is traffic system, the parking system is on international level.

The leaders of this country need some better education on many levels. The people electing these useless leaders need a top level education

    Joke of year-2020.
Rules are same for everyone who violates traffic regulation so accordingly fine amount should be paid for violation of traffic rule for period of one year by authority who were using same vehicle to collect payment from common man
