Bengaluru, Dec 13: Former chief minister and JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has said that there was no question of his party forming an alliance with any other political party.
"The question of JD (S) forming alliance with any other political party does not arise. JD (S) will not do slavery of any other political party," said former CM H D Kumaraswamy.
Speaking at a press conference, Kumaraswamy said, "We are pro-people and pro-farmers. We will call a spade a spade. A situation may arise in this state wherein Kumaraswamy will be inevitable for Karnataka. I am confident of that."
On allegations levelled against him by Congress leader Siddaramaiah, he said, "Siddaramaiah has accused me of holding benami property. If he proves the same, I will retire from politics."
Attacking Siddaramaiah, Kumaraswamy said, "You ask whether Deve Gowda has held the yoke or collected cow dung? What do you know about Deve Gowda? Deve Gowda has done farming. Even I have washed cow dung. Learn to speak properly. What do you know about the background of Deve Gowda? He used to swim across Hemavati river in the night and work in fields in the morning. Are you the only person who has collected cow dung? I have also done that work."
He added, "I also know to address someone in a demeaning manner. It is not adventurous to speak in that fashion. I have not played double game politics like you to get ashamed.
"Siddaramaiah has accused me of supporting the Land Reforms Act because I have lot of benami property. If he proves the same, I will take retirement from politics. Who is running the sugar factory in other's name? I have not done any anti-social work like you. Be careful when you speak about me," he warned.
MLC B M Farook, former minister Anand Asnotikar, former MLA M T Krishnappa and president of city unit Prakash were present.
