Dharwad, Dec 13: A month after the arrest of former minister Vinay Kulkarni in connection with the murder of zilla panchayat BJP member Yogesh Gowda, a team of CBI officers has arrested one more prime accused.
Chandrashekhara Indi alias Chandu Mama, maternal uncle of Vinay Kulkarni, a resident of Vijaypura, was arrested by the CBI police on Saturday December 12. In addition, it has also come to light that the contract of killing Yogesh Gowda was given to the Bheema Basin gang.

Chandrashekhara allegedly arranged a country pistol to shoot Yogesh Gowda, in case he suddenly retaliated during the attack,
As per reports, the contract of killing Yogesh Gowda was initially given to Bheema Basin contract killer Dharmaraja Chadachana. However, he was not able to carry out the job. So, Chandrashekhara Indi had mediated with Dharamaraja to give three country pistols instead of the money that was given to kill Yogesh. Nagappa, accomplice of Dharmaraja had handed over three pistols to Chandrashekhara. Information is available that those three pistols were given to killers of Yogesh.
After the murder, the three pistols were hidden near a village. CBI officers have confiscated them. As Chandrashekhara Indi was repeatedly interrogated after Vinay Kulakarni's arrest all these information has come out. There is a possibility that more details will emerge after he is subjected to further inquiry.
CBI officers arrested Chandrashekhara near BLDE College in Vijayapura on Saturday. It is also said that Nagappa, accomplice of killer Dharmaraja, who had handed over the pistols to Chandrashekhara, is also in CBI custody.
