Mangaluru: Car catches fire near Kodialbail, no one hurt

Mangaluru, Dec 12: In a freak accident, a Tata Indica car caught fire accidently, near Manasa Towers at Kodialbail on Saturday December 12.

The mishap took place due to a short circuit and no one was hurt, it is gathered.

It is said that the car belongs to Akhilesh from Mudipu. There were four people inside the car. 

Public and traffic cops tried to douse the fire. Later, a fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the fire. 

There was traffic jam in the area for some time due to the incident.

    Why inert gas is not used instead of water as short circuit and fuel is involved in a vehicle fire?
    Fire brigade reached in the end but cops were there in time.

    In case of fire seat belts can be dangerous,esp if they are stuck or someone does not know how to open them quickly.
