Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 11: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 29 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 32,272. Out of these, 416 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,97,605 samples have been tested. Out of which, 3,65,333 are negative.

As many as 38 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,128.

A total of 728 deaths have occured so far, including two deaths on Friday.

Over 16,536 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 17,58,597 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,863, including 22 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 144 cases are currently active.

Over 2,62,380 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,39,517 have turned out negative.

As many as 15 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,532.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
