A bunch of like-minded organisations had even raised objections over the highlighting of the name ‘Adani Airports’ at the entrance and exit points of Mangaluru International Airport and claimed this change was causing confusion among the public.
Meanwhile, opposing the privatisation along with the renaming of the airport, district Youth Congress and Mulki-Moodbidiri Block Congress had held a torchlight protest rally from Circuit House to Bajpe airport on November 18. The Opposition party had demanded that the airport be named after Koti and Chennayya or after any of the achievers from Tulunadu replacing Adani airport.
