Mangaluru: Cake mixing ceremony ‘Feliz Navidad’ held at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Dec 9: The hospitality department of Milagres College in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized ‘Feliz Navidad’ cake mixing ceremony and Christmas celebration on Wednesday December 9 at the college auditorium.

The chief guest Praveen Tauro, marketing manager of Daijiworld Media, and the guest of honour Hadly Gonsalves, sales manager of Hotel Goldfinch, were present for the cake mixing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Tauro said, “As various ingredients play an important role in the preparation of a tasty cake, our lives also should be a combination of different aspects, as a result of which it adds beauty to life.” He wished peace and happiness on the occasion of Christmas to the gathering.

Hadly Gonsalves wished the college on the occasion and congratulated the organizers for having such an event and wished it would be carried forward in future.

Principal Fr Michael Santhumayor presided over the function and welcomed the gathering.

Mary Prisicilla, HOD of FND, highlighted the significance of cake mixing as well as the preparation during Christmas.

The cake mixing ceremony was conducted under the leadership of Denzil D’Costa, HOD of Hospitality Science.

The college choir organized carol singing on the occasion.

Vice Principal Cassin Rodrigues rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Allete Santmayer, faculty of hospitality department.
