Mangaluru/Udupi, Dec 8: Dakshina Kannada (DK) district has so far not shown any adverse effects connected with the bandh call given on Tuesday December 8. Transport vehicles are moving about normally. Government and private buses are running.
It is gathered that drivers of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) are dithering from discharging duty on Mysuru and north Karnataka routes as they are afraid that the protesters might pelt stones at the vehicles. Still, buses have been lined up for long route travel at the bus stand. The staff may review their decisions on the way depending on the situation ahead.
