Mangalore: Speeding Car Kills One on City Road

Mangalore, May 13: A man astride his parked bike was killed after a speeding Maruthi Swift car hit him on Thursday May 13. The car also hit another bike before it ran over the divider of the road near Yeyyadi. 

The victim has been identified as Shailesh, resident of Koppalakadu near Mary Hill. He was sitting on his bike (KA 19 V 2083) when the car hit him.  

The owner of the Maruthi Swift Car has been identified as Rajesh. He was also injured in the accident. 

He was on his way towards Bajpe when he lost control of the car due to over speeding.  

The car also hit another parked bike (KA 19 R 5632) before crossing over the road divider. The damage to the road divider shows the impact of the accident.  East traffic police registered the case.

    an innocent life is lost, all due to that careless driver,when will people learn, all the road etiquette in this city has evaporated.
    people over speeding, talking on the mobile phones while driving, jaywalking everywhere,coming on the wrong side on a one way road to save thier 0.002 litre of petrol/ cant help but think we are going backwards instead of progressing.
