Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 20: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 36 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday raising the tally to 31,474. Out of these, 631 cases are currently active.

A total of 3,22,899 samples have been tested. Out of which,  2,91,425 are negative.

As many as 69 people were discharged on Friday, taking the total number of recoveries to 30,142.

A total of 701 deaths have occured so far, including one on Friday.

Over 13,602 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 14,70,072 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 22,470, including 20 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 211 cases are currently active.

Over 2,21,371 samples have been tested so far, of which 1,98,901 have turned out negative.

As many as 15 patients were discharged on Friday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,073.

A total of 187 deaths have occured so far.
