Nitish Kumar takes oath as Bihar chief minister for fourth time

Patna, Nov 16 (IANS): Nitish Kumar was on Monday sworn in as Chief Minister of Bihar for his fourth successive term.

Governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath to Kumar at the ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

The National Democratic Alliance secured a majority in the October-November Assembly elections, winning 125 seats in the 243-member house.

However, Nitish Kumar saw his Janata Dal-United's share slip to 43, while the BJP won 74 seats. Two smaller parties won eight seats.

Certainly incredible, that Veteran Nitish Kumar, has managed to be sworn in as CM of Bihar...The Mahaghatbandan is in tatters, with RJD, lambasting the ailing grand old Congress party of bringing down their chances of winning the election. The INC now appears to be the " Pariah " an outcast, in the political landscape of our nation...

Obama was rather mild and highly diplomatic in his assessment of Rahul Gandhi. The harsh reality is known to every Indian except his Congress party.

This is very baffling and unbecoming when exit polls were predicting overwhelming majority for Tejaswi but all of a sudden poll count results were totally different. Nitish Kumar himself was not sure about the victory but was sure of stirring something behind closed doors. It's only possible through malpractice by known poll manipulator party. This is definitely not people's mandate.

What if your favorite political party or alliance won in this election? would you label it a clean & transparent election? In your own words, may be definitely a people's mandate, I guess. ಕುಣಿಯಲು ಬಾರದವ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಂತೆ.

In that case exit polls would have matched the poll results. FYI, exit polls are pure people's mandate and verdict unmanipulated.

Don't care for your understanding. This frustrated artificial victory is not for long. It will end in self destruction. No efforts from my side.
