Mangaluru, Nov 16: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday November 16, resumed its interstate bus service from Mangaluru to Kasargod. Earlier, following Covid-19 pandemic, KSRTC had suspended the KSRTC interstate bus service in the entire state. Even KSRTC bus depot had suspended bus service from Mangaluru to Kasargod.
Since a month, KSRTC was running buses from Mangaluru to Talapady. On the other end, even Kerala Road Transport Corporation buses were running buses Kasargod to Talapady.

People playing towards the city had to interchange buses in Talapady. Many passengers depended upon private buses to reach the city. On Monday, as the KSRTC resumed the direct service from Mangaluru to Kasargod, it has provided relief to passengers.
According to sources even Kerala Road Transport Corporation had resumed direct bus service from Kasargod to Mangaluru. As of Monday, Kerala Road Transport Corporation has started 20 buses within a gap of 7 minutes.
Speaking to Daijiworld, divisional controller Arun Kumar said, "From today onwards, KSRTC has resumed bus service from Mangaluru to Kasargod. Nearly 20 buses will operate from Mangaluru to Kasargod. Hope there will be a good response from the public in upcoming days."
