Mangaluru: Kambala season's programme - Decision based on central government guidelines

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Kambala Samithi president P R Shetty, said that this season's Kambala programme will be drawn up based on the next COVID19 guidelines expected to be issued by the central government.

He was addressing a consultative meeting of Kambala Samithi and organisers held in the hall of a private hotel in the city on Sunday November 15.

"We all want to hold Kambala, folk sport of Tulunadu duly backed by religious faith and the culture of farming. We have already met Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and handed over petitions seeking their support to organise the next Kambala season. They have positively responded to our request and assured us that the issue will be decided after the next set of guidelines are received from the centre," he explained.

Vice president of the Kambala Samithi, Tiruvailguthu Naveenchandra Alva, general secretary Rajeev Shetty Yedthoor, treasurer Suresh Poojary, former secretary Vijayakumar Kanginaane, people grooming Kambala buffaloes, organisers Yermal Rohit Hegde, Brijesh Chowta, Vishall K Poojary Boloor, Chandrahas Shetty Vakkadigoly Rashmith Shetty, Ramacandra Nayak Mulky, owner of Kambala buffaloes, Muhchoor Kalkuda Lokesh Shetty, Mankalilpadpu Seetharam Shetty and others were present.

    District Incharge minister is a waste useless , he doesn't even take single decision , he is fully depended on central , why central why not statement govt take decision on kambala, If case is in SC let SC decide why centre evrytime.
