Mangaluru, Nov 11: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) opposition leader Abdul Rauf alleged that the MCC administration is in urgency to clear the funds allotted for Smart City project.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday November 11, he said, "There is no coordination between the MCC and Smart City officials. Simultaneously, six Smart City road works were undertaken which led to a lot of confusion and traffic congestion in the city. Without any proper vision and planning, Smart City works have been undertaken."
He further said, "Smart City means stress on developing tourism and attracting tourists, but no measures have been taken to attract tourism under the Smart City project. BJP does not know how to run the administration and lack experience."
Former mayors Bhaskar Moily and Jacintha Alfred, corporator Lancelot Pinto, Lateef Kandak, A C Vinayaraj and others were present.
