Tumakuru, Nov 8: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, who is also the MP of Dakshina Kannada district, on Sunday November 8 took a jibe at former chief minister and opposition leader Siddaramaiah, stating that the latter was afraid of losing his value in the Congress party.
"Former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah is scared of getting lost in the Congress party. He feels that Congress does not value his leadership. He is afriad of being pushed to the corner. That is why he is giving non-stop statements on chief minsiter Yediyurappa," taunted state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Speaking to the scribes here, Nalin further said, "In Tumakuru, training camp for three divisions of 10 districts is in progress. Sira and RR Nagar assembly constituencies will be won by BJP. In Sira BJP candidate will be victorious by a margin of 25,000 and in RR Nagar by 40,000 votes.
"In R R Nagar united efforts will bring victory to BJP. The campaign by CM himself has made a lot of difference among the electorate. In addition, the infighting of Congress will also help the victory of BJP. RR Nagar was taken over by D K Shivakumar of Congress and Sira was managed by Siddaramaiah. D K Shivakumar was engrossed in getting Congress defeated in Sira and vice-versa. The infighting of Congress has become public now.
"After the by-elections, the infighting in Congress will come to the fore. When Congress gets defeated they suspect EVMs. When they win there is no problem with the EVM. It is clear that Congress knows that they are going to get defeated. If EVM was faulty, we would not have allowed D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah to win assembly elections," he said.
