Mangaluru, Nov 6: Karnataka state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that he has information that a decision to remove Siddaramaiah from the post of the leader of the opposition in the assembly has been taken. He added that this will happen within one and half months.
He said that shaken by this information, Siddaramaiah, in an effort to stay glued to his position of power, has been spreading the false information that chief minister B S Yediyurappa is being replaced. Nalin asserted that Yediyurappa will complete his remaining term of 2.5 years as chief minister without any hitch.
"Congress leaders, Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar are engaged in frequent frictions. As such, the legislators of their party have become disoriented. As many as 15 such legislators are in constant touch with us. They have been knocking at the doors of the BJP. The DJ Halli riot is testimony to the feud between Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah. MLA Akhandra Srinivas Murthy, has been a supporter of Siddaramaiah. Sampath Raj is the supporter of D K Shivakumar," he explained.
Nalin claimed that D K Shivakumar in Sira constituency and Siddaramaiah in Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency have clandestinely supported the BJP candidates.
