Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Nov 6: The police have succeeded in tracing a couple, both minors, belonging to different religions. The girl, who is from Perdoor, was found in the company of a teenager on Thursday November 5.

The girl has been subjected to medical tests. As both of them are minors, they would be produced in the presence of the Juvenile Justice Board on Friday November 6.

The girl, a first year degree course student, had left home with the state purpose of handing over her scholarship application to the college on October 28. Thereafter she had gone missing.

Pro-Hindu organizations' protest on October 31

The mobile phone of the girl remained switched off from 3 pm that day. The parents had approached Hiriadka police station, expressing the suspicion that their daughter might have been kidnapped by a youth from another religion. Leaders of certain Hindu organizations had also held protest seeking to find the girl quickly.

Present generation at present doesnt make any thoughts about their future how they will lead their days ,when they think of only to be getaway from their parents, school ,police, and home.Later they will realize it was wrong, but ashamed and afraid of family ,dont know what to do and start to live by simply do odd jobs ,beg sleep where place is etc.Such things should be avoided by parents by teaching their children, not to do such mistake, early enough. They should tell children to be honest to parents whatever it is,concentrate first on studies ,have a good basic,,job and later on love marriage etc.Even choosing their partner they should ask parents consent ,their thoughts about him/her .etc.simply not to throw away school studies and hide,.However child can come back to them and give them confidence to be loved and not hated,in case of some misunderstanding.

Jossy Saldanha, I agree with u...but is it ok to reveal boy's identity? Both have committed the same mistake..so they should not reveal boy's identity too. . Religion should not be a matter of importance. What's important is making both realize the grave mistake committed by them & guiding our youth in the right direction

Even the supreme Court said that not to reveal the name of the sexually abused. Here this case of minor same to be followed. But there is no respite for man accused even he is a minor. In Nirbhaya case same followed.

Mr. Bala, how can we compare this case or any such cases with heart breaking Nirbhaya case??? Please remember here both the minors done it with mutual understanding & consent...there is no force used by the boy. We can not apply same punishment for all the cases, just because boy & girl of different community are involved

They might be of any cast.. but this is too much.. they have not even crossed 18... kids now a days do not think of anything any one else.. i dont understand what would have been their fate if they were not traced.. with no complete education and no work what will happen to them.. why dont they think before taking such steps. why cant they wait till their finish their education and get a decent job.... and now this will be a reason for fight among two caste foolish people. Educate your kids first and then fight for religious reason
