Briefing journalists at the hotel Ocean Pearl here on the proceedings of the core committee meeting, Limbavali said, "In 2008, Yediyurappa led-BJP government had introduced anti-cow slaughter bill, but later Siddaramaiah led-Congress government which came to power had withdrawn the bill.”
He stated that the government after reviewing the previous anti-cow slaughter bill, a stringent version of the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Protection Bill will be introduced. Furthermore, he asserted that the members of the core committee demanded a stringent law to be introduced against ‘Love Jihad’ or forceful conversion.

Limbavali asserted that the BJP is all set to face upcoming gram panchayat elections in the state. "War rooms and call centres are functioning at each Mandal level. Those Mandals which are pending to set up war rooms and call centres should make arrangements to set it up," he said.
