CM Yediyurappa arrives in Mangaluru to take part in BJP's special executive meeting

Mangaluru, Nov 4: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Wednesday, November 4.

The CM reached on Wednesday evening to take part in the special executive meeting which is scheduled to be conducted on November 5 at T V Raman Pai hall. 





The chief minister was accompanied by deputy chief minister Govind M Karjol, revenue minister R Ashok, minister Eshwarappa, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, district BJP president Sudharshan Moodbidiri, Moodbidiri MLA Umanath Kotian and Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor.

When asked about the tweet by Siddaramaiah regarding change of CM, Yediyurappa said, "Siddaramaiah should stop making such irresponsible statements and claiming that he acquired the information from Delhi. Even I can say that I have received news from Delhi that Siddaramaiah will be removed as leader of the Opposition. I request Siddaramaiah to not make such a reckless statement.

"The elections in Sira and RR Nagar have been carried out under Siddaramaiah and the Congress is sure to face a massive defeat. When BJP wins who will present their resignation? There will be a huge loss to face in the upcoming elections under Siddaramaiah," he added.

District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik was also present.

    There is a lot of unwanted attention given to CM's arrival for a party meeting. Who will actually benefit from such a meeting except for the party and a few people involved in the same? I was hoping that at least some of the roads would be repaired with this reason. I'm a daily traveler on Gurupur - Mangalore highway. It has become impossible to find motorable stretch in some parts of this road. Earlier, we had to dodge the pot holes to make sure we were safe. Then there was at least some road. Now we have to dodge big potholes and fall into smaller ones and travel. My humble request to all those in power, kindly do something about this road and give some respite. Hope the CM and his Team gets to travel by at least some part of this road.

    Why do we treat our politicians like kings and emperors of pre independence era?
    Why are we still following the British "Angla Darbar" with the elected representatives who in reality are supposed to be at the service of the citizens.
    We need to realise that we are in a democracy CHANGE our attitude and its earlier the better.

    Take the CM to town hall , take the CM to Moodbidri via Kulsekhar, Gurpur. Let the CM enjoy the humpy, bumpy drive to the above places.
