Mangaluru, Nov 4: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on Wednesday, November 4.
The CM reached on Wednesday evening to take part in the special executive meeting which is scheduled to be conducted on November 5 at T V Raman Pai hall.
The chief minister was accompanied by deputy chief minister Govind M Karjol, revenue minister R Ashok, minister Eshwarappa, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty, district BJP president Sudharshan Moodbidiri, Moodbidiri MLA Umanath Kotian and Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor.
When asked about the tweet by Siddaramaiah regarding change of CM, Yediyurappa said, "Siddaramaiah should stop making such irresponsible statements and claiming that he acquired the information from Delhi. Even I can say that I have received news from Delhi that Siddaramaiah will be removed as leader of the Opposition. I request Siddaramaiah to not make such a reckless statement.
"The elections in Sira and RR Nagar have been carried out under Siddaramaiah and the Congress is sure to face a massive defeat. When BJP wins who will present their resignation? There will be a huge loss to face in the upcoming elections under Siddaramaiah," he added.
District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar, Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik was also present.
