Mumbai: Fort Branch of Bharat Co-op Bank Makes Move to Mint Road

Mumbai, May 3: The Fort branch of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited has been shifted to the ground floor of Mint Chamber, Mint Road here on Monday May 3.
Jaya C Suvarna, former president of the bank and metro-based Billavar association and All India Billava Federation, inaugurated the relocated branch. Bank vice president lawyer Rohini J Salian inaugurated banking services on the occasion.
‘Although, globalization has posed stiff-competition to both national and international banks, co-operative banks were not much affected. Instead its has strengthened its customer base by offering services to ordinary people in the society, in order to realize their dream of starting small businesses. The efficiency and expertise of board of directors and dedication of the bank employees has enabled the bank to record a volume of business to the tune of over Rs 4,500 crore”, said Jaya C Suvarna.
Lawyer Rohini Salian said that customer loyalty of the bank has enabled to surge in recording a large volume of business. The competitive banking services and customer satisfaction further boost the annual revenue of bank, she added.
Metro’s renowned Purohit Vidwan K Sadashiv Shanti offered various puja in the relocated branch. Branch manager Mahesh Poojary and Mamata Poojary couple, the bank directors Y Nagesh, Jyothi K Suvarna, Mahabala B Sanil, Sridar K Kotian, Bhaskar M Salian, Rohini M Suvarna and others were present on the occasion.
Entrepreneur Prabhakar Kotian and Devendra Amin, bank general manager B K Amin, C R Mulki, Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy general manager professor Shekar Poojary, assistant general manager V S Shanbagh, Suresh S Salian, Nithyanand D Kotian, branch manager Prabhakar Suvarna, assistant branch manager Sureka Salian and others were also present.
