Kundapur municipal council: Veena Bhaskar unaimously elected prez, Sandeep Kharvi vice president

Kundapur, Nov 3: BJP-backed candidates Veena Bhaskar and Sandeep Kharvi were elected unopposed as president and vice president for the ninth term of Kundapur Municipal Council.

The elections were held on November 3. Veena Bhaskar and Sandeep Kharvi had submitted nominations as unanimously selected candidates. Election officer Anandappa Nayak announced the names of the president and vice president.

MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty, BJP Kundapur Mandala president Shankar Ankadakatte, district panchayat member Shrilatha Suresh Shetty, Laxmi Manju Billava, district BJP chief secretary Sadananda Uppinakudru, Kundapur Mandala former president Suresh Shetty Kadoor, taluk panchayat member Surendra Kharvi, Mahila Morcha president Gunarathna, taluk panchayat social justice committee president Roopa Rai, town development authority president Vijaya S Poojary, BJP Kundapur block in charge Balachandra Bhat, municipal council former president Vasanthi Saranga, BJP chief secretary Suresh Shetty, Yuva Morcha’s Avinash Shetty Ulthoor, Sunil Herikudru, BJP secretary Surendra Kanchan, Manju Billava, Vakwadi Sathish Shetty, former municipal council member Raviraj Kharvi, Pushpa Shet and others were present.

The post of president was reserved for general category woman and the post of vice president was reserved for backward class ‘A’ category. The council with the total strength of 23 members has 14 BJP, 8 Congress and one independent member. Veena Bhaskar the new president, represents TT Road ward while vice president Sandeep Kharvi represents Bahadur Shah Road ward.

    To be frank all the members are same. Only comes to our house for votes then they disappear. Veena Bhaskar elected from TT Road ward and that ward had no improvement from ages. No proper drainage, No road work done from last 8years now they became mudroad.. Sewage service project started in 2016-17 wasted all taxx money, done pipeline by digging all good roads but till date sewage line not started wasted crores of public money in the name of sewage. In TT Road announced kids playing area and park invester in lakhs after 2yrs of tortoise pattern work it's completed in Nov2020. But till date not opened kept gates are locked and all installed kidss playing items like slide see-saw getting rust, interlock pavement also gone... No Media bother about such scams and misuse of public money. Just stop congratulating them on election.. Congratulate them when their term completes if and only they do good work.

    'for the ninth term of Kundapur Municipal Council'. In Kundapura these two and at centre Modi and Shah. rest all are in sleeping coach. That is why in most of the western countries you can be anything for maximum TWO TERMS. After that they want NEW people for the betterment of the country, municipal or else.
