Mangaluru, Nov 3: Chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa will arrive in Mangaluru on November 4 to take part in BJP’s special executive meeting scheduled to be held on November 5 at T V Raman Pai Hall, informed district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
Addressing media here on Tuesday November 3, he said, “CM Yediyurappa will leave from Bengaluru at 6 pm and land at Mangaluru International Airport at 7 pm along with deputy chief minister Govind M Kajrol.
“The day-long special executive meeting will be inaugurated by CM Yediyurappa while ministers C T Ravi, Jagadish Shettar, Prahlad Joshi and other dignitaries will take part.
“Later in the day at 11:30 pm, the CM will take part in the core committee meeting. On same day he will leave to Bengaluru at 7:30 pm. It is for the first time, Dakshina Kannada district will be hosting a special executive meeting after Nalin Kumar Kateel took charge as the state BJP president,” he said.
BJP district president Sudarshan had earlier reported in a press conference that leaders of various morchas, presidents, general secretaries, party convenors, co-convenors, heads of various cells, core committee members, and regional organizing secretaries will be invited for the executive meeting.
“The agenda for the meeting would focus on opinions from the leaders on organisation management. Important decisions would be taken pertaining to strengthening the party and its future plans. Further decisions on development works would be discussed. Strategy will be made ahead of the upcoming gram panchayat, zilla panchayat, taluk panchayat, assembly and Lok Sabha elections,” said Kota Srinivas Poojary.
