Mumbai, May 2: A person who loves fashion expresses it through his attitude. Fashion world has the ability to attract people at large as the models showcase the amazing world of fashion through attractive gait and gestures, said Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor.
He was speaking as a chief guest at the Fashion Show – 2010 organized by International India Trade Centre (IITC) at the ballroom of Hotel Leela Kempinski, Andheri (East) on Saturday April 30. “Fashion world has the power not only to transform people’s life, but also has the potential to bring laurels to the country,” he added.
The fashion show which was conducted in two phases was inaugurated by IITC founder S K Urwal. He also delivered the introductory address.
As many as 300 students from IITC, Mumbai and Ahmedabad showcased their line of clothes by sporting it cat walking on the ramp. The ramp was organized under the able leadership of IITC directors Reena V Urwal and Neha S Urwal. Television actors Umesh Parvani, Gulfaam Khan, designer Vint Ryan, Vile Parle (East) MLA Krishna S Hedge and entrepreneur B R Shetty were present on the occasion.
Padmabhushan Capt C P K Nayar, designer Vint Ryan, Ashley Rebello, Bollywood actors Aftab Shivadasani, Sheryln Chopra, Deepika Nagpal, television actor Vivek R, models Konkana Bakshi, Ishita Sarkar, Shriya Kishore, designers A D Singh, Avesh datlani and music director Supender Singh were present to cheer the participants at the last round of the second phase.
The fashion show – 2010 is the first such event in India which will provide with intyernational exposure to the students involvent, said Vikrant. Rony Furtado compered the programme. IITC directors Vikrant Urwal and Sandesh Urwal too were present.
