Mysuru woman, her two children found murdered at their home in Ireland

Daijiworld Media Network – Dublin

Dublin, Oct 31: A woman from Karnataka’s Mysuru and her two children were found strangled to death in their house in Llywellen Court in Ballinteer suburb of Ireland, on Friday October 30.

The deceased have been identified as Seema Banu Syed (37), Asfira Riza (11) and Faizan Syed (6). According to the local police, the three are believed to have been killed around five days before their bodies were found.

Sources said that the family, originally from Mysuru in Karnataka, had moved to Ireland from Dubai in February earlier this year. Seema's husband Sameer Syed was out of town during the time of the incident.

Media reported that the two children were found dead with ligature marks around their neck in one room of the house, while Seema Banu was found strangled in another. The Dundrum Garda Station in Ireland said in a press release that a murder investigation has been launched after an autopsy was performed.

The Irish police had later released a photograph of a person believed to have known the family. The person appeared at the police station and has now been put on 24-hour surveillance. Reports also said that Seema Banu was also a victim of assault in May this year and a case was registered with the Irish police. Media reported that the accused in the case was due to report before a court in April next year for the hearing in the case.

As per latest developments, Seema's family has made an appeal to the Indian embassy in Ireland and Irish authorities, to help them with the repatriation of the bodies.

Crime committed on an Indian national, in an alien nation, can be fast tracked only if our embassy requests the host nation for an unbiased probe... We cannot speculate the motives, let the authorities do an investigation and arrest the murderer, if he is still present on their soil !!!

Perfect case of planned murder. Don't even try to frame the father. He has framed this murder nice and fine.
He probably is not in the country at the time of this execution paid by him. Ireland courts or courts in Dubai will never be able to give justice, let alone even name the cream of the family that his unfortuante mother must be proud of.

CAgirishkk mNGlore, when you mean Ireland is not a safe place,I say nowhere in world is a safe place. Here family had gone there recently. Now it looks like somehow they faced their end hardly they landing there.Looks like a perfect mord like in books appear.Assault on wife, hardly husband is out for 5 days ,and children were tied ,and murdered with ligature, and wife ?dont know.Poor children had to die before they have seen the world properly.Very tragic and sad.Heartfelt sympathy to the family. Most worst is they were found after 5 days.May their souls rest in Heaven in peace.

What makes you so disturbed? There are a good number of Indian professionals, especially nurses and paramedics, working in Ireland, although its not as popular as UK, USA or UAE.

"Seema Banu was also a victim of assault in May this year and a case was registered with the Irish police. It's not mentioned who is that accused? Very very barbaric ruthless act done by that cannibal... May the departed souls of mother and children rest in peace.... So sad.....many ladies suffer all the time, round the clock... 😔

    Cynthi,

Here Court gives dates after Judge finding time slot for hearing....So time is not wasted of accused or litigants...

In India they give date for all but no proceedings takes place...just call accused name...when he/she appears give next date....thus wasting every bodies time...

When accused is given date in April 2021 in Ireland , it means Judge has kept a day or more for his trial ....and trial will complete then and a judgement is pronounced by Jury immediately after hearing...if Convicted he goes to jail directly from there !!!...

Police in west don't file cases without proper evidence...Conviction rate is 85-90%....Indian Conviction rate is 5% or less....

    KM?

    ...Tak...Takk...

Lan.. Sir, thanks... Good information. I understood what you have mentioned. But, for a culprit, there's ample if time, to commit more problems before the scheduled time. This is what happened with this deceased family too. Once the complaint was given, he should be interrogated first and based on the proofs should be jailed. One year is too long. He can do any amount of crimes within one year of time... right?

Saudi's can give instant justice....like instant coffee...

Lan... Sir, his point of view also correct. Instead of attacking this way and killing them inhumanly, husband should have left her if they couldn't stay together under one roof or if there's no love and concern to each other . At least these people would have been survived. Look at those kids... Sad dear....

Anand, agree there are cow shelters/laws everything. Tell me, who follows? I have plenty of examples in my native place and around, if a cow is sick, or had a fall and gets bedridden due to the fall or after ageing doesn't give milk etc straight away they sell those cows. Forget that, even the small buffalo calfs too my dear. I know one family from himachal. They say that, cows those who are not yielding/bulls/he buffaloes are just left out. Villagers hit them like anything if they enter again back to their compound. I heard about this in Goa too. Many cattle in herds on the roadside they say. Only during ploughing time they take after work has done again abandon. This situation is all over India... Haryana, orissa etc.
