Bengaluru, Oct 31: Vehicle riders had a temporary respite during the corona lockdown. With the lockdown restrictions being relaxed, the traffic police have become very active again.
The city witnesses a lot of traffic rule violations, and the police, determined to collect fines for such things from the offenders, have been causing tension for the vehicle riders. Some habitual rule breakers appear to have adopted rule violation as a part of their routine. The traffic rules break challans of some of the riders even shock the police.
In one such case, a motor bike rider identified as Arun Kumar was found to have violated traffic rules 77 times. Arun was caught by a team of Madivala traffic police inspector Naveen Kumar, and sub-inspector Shivaraj Kumar. The biker was imposed with a fine of Rs 42500.
The police, after serving the notice, have taken the motor bike into possession. Arun was asked to pay fine and get back his two-wheeler. It is gathered that Arun left the bike with police as he said that he will not pay the fine which was more than the actual worth of the vehicle.
