Udupi: Fake message on Daijiworld running 'Marwadi Hatao' campaign goes viral, complaint filed

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD)

Udupi, Oct 29: A message has been doing the rounds on social media channels calling for the boycott of news media website Daijiworld. The rumour on social media was that the 'Marwari Hathao' campaign was run by Daijiworld.

However, Daijiworld clarified that it did not initiate any such campaign.

Meanwhile, concerning the matter, the media house also filed a complaint at the cybercrime police station in Udupi.

The viral message shared on social media read:

"#BoycottDaijiworld. Daijiworld is trying to misguide the educated people of Udupi. Daijiworld in all its programs in one or the other way is taking an anti-Hindu stance. Now, Daijiworld has yet again displayed its anti-Hindu attitude by creating 'Marwadi Hathao, Udupi Bachao' campaign.

Consumer court will handle the disputes related scams in businesses. Let us fight according to the law, rather than trying to banish a community. Does Daijiworld have the nerve to boycott those who tried to create a nuisance by supporting CAA, NRC and those responsible in the DJ Halli violence?

According to the Indian Constitution and its fundamental rights threatening any person is considered a criminal offence. So it is necessary to submit a complaint against Daijiworld with Prasar Bharathi or the Central government.

Protect Ram bhakt Marwadis and boycott anti-Hindu Daijiworld. Let us showcase the strength of the Hindu community.

From now, let us start #boycottDaijiworld campaign and prove the power of the Hindu community.

Clarification from Sharan Pumpwell

Bajrang Dal activist Sharan Pumpwell under whose name the message was circulated was contacted by Daijiworld, clarifying on the matter, he said, "The issue has come to our notice as well. We have not circulated any such message. My name is being misused. Our organization respects every media organization and reporters. I will submit my statement at the police station to prove my innocence. I will visit the Mangaluru police commissioner and file a complaint. The incident clearly shows that some miscreants are intentionally trying to defame me and Daijiworld, I urge the VHP members to not circulate the post and defame the media house."

Where are we as a country heading to....!!!, Marwari business men were operating their business successfully for the past couple of decades in coastal district specially in timber, areca nut, marble & building materials... without any problems...
I really doubt whether Marwari hatao - movement will work..., There's no need for any intolerance touch to this matter..., Coastal district people are not showed any resistance/protest for the transfer of Couple of Banks, M'lore international Airport/ Udupi power corporation etc., to name a few...! There's no need to promote intolerance or any kind of mountain of mole kind of perception about this matter...,
In fact Marwari business men are working all over hindustan...!!! The local political parties ,& self proclaimed nationalist organisation suggest them to give employment to local unemployed youth's.. that's it.

At present business is very low, and Marwari community must understand this Nav Bharat scenario to understand the reality and advise to down play this unnecessary/irrelevant/intolerant movement with a political touch..

Dont you see it ..Those marwari prople are smart. In a fraction of a second they changed it to communal causing division amongst DK people.

They know that if they play the hindutva card, all the dalas and senes and other groups will join and support them.

Good tactic by marwaris. Now whole of karnataka and others know that we people are severly divided in the name of religion. It is a very easy for an outsider to come and play their cards.

The darkness cannot hide the light. Don't be disheartened team Daijiworld and Mr.Sharan Pumpwell.

The people who drafted the message may not have even paid for 500ml milk packet for home. They do not understand the hardwork that goes into running a business let alone a news agency where employees work round the clock. Everything is a game for them and so they play with common peoples livelihood and integrity.

Thank you Mr.Sharan Pumpwell for taking prompt action.
