Mangaluru Oct 29: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Hindu Jagarana Vedike have decided to take steps to channelize youth in the right direction to refrain themselves from getting involved in untoward actions.

Addressing media here on Wednesday October 28, Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math said, "Three murders have been in twin districts pertaining to finance issues and personal grudge which damages the society. There is a need to call a meeting of youth to make them aware to not involve in murder or any untoward actions with hidden agenda.

"We will not stop here. There has to be a platform created where awareness is key and channelize the youth in the right direction. If there are any issues, it should be compromised and sorted out and not end with murders.

“There is need for social development and awareness. Youths should not indulge in such activities. We have conducted meetings on how to take this forward, that is creating awareness and channelizing youths," he said.

Sharan Pumpwell, regional convenor, VHP said, "In recent days, there has been a series of murders in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada due to financial issues, personal grudge, gang war and connection to underworld. In the last one month, Kishan Hegde, Sampath in Sullia, Surendra in Bantwal were murdered. We have appealed to IGP Devajyothi Ray, SP Laxmi Prasad, and police commissioner Vikas Kumar Vikash to take all kinds of preventive measures so that such incidents are not repeated and conduct thorough investigation and take stringent action against the culprits.”
